MEET QUARTZ

Talk about a unicorn pup! This precious girl is the entire package…gorgeous, sweet, friendly, yet with a calm demeanor that is amazing in a dog so young.

Quartz is an approximately 9-month-old, Labrador Retriever/Pit bull terrier mix, with a beautiful ebony coat that is broken up only by the small white patch on her chest. She has dark amber eyes and a sweet grin that lets you know just how happy she is. Quartz is a striking girl, and she currently weighs about 39 pounds but will probably put on a little bit more weight as she fills out.

Quartz was pulled from our local animal shelter where she had been picked up as a stray and no one came to claim her after being there several weeks. She has a calm, chill personality, is super friendly, is curious about all that goes on around her (but doesn’t let chaos bother her or excite her) and loves to run around and play in the yard. Quartz loves attention and enjoys being petted, and she has a sweet, playful energy – and she is super smart…she already knows how to sit and shake!

Quartz has a nice energy level, which will make her a wonderful family pet, and she should be great with children. She likes to spend time outside, but Quartz is not to be an outside dog only as she likes to be with her people, so she will be okay in an apartment setting provided she gets plenty of daily exercise. She will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all. She did fine with the other dogs she has been tested with so far. We have started on her crate training, and Quartz is up to date on her vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and has been spayed. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

This laid-back gal has it all: looks, personality, demeanor…the only thing she’s missing is a furever home! Could your home be what she needs to be complete?
