Yes, this dog’s name is Puppy. ? Puppy is an adorable little fella who needs the right people who are patient and understand adjustment periods to help him feel at home. He is very friendly and very curious – he will explore every little nook and cranny everywhere he goes! He also enjoys his pats and scratches, loves to stretch his little body, and once he’s comfy, he loves the company of his humans.

The wee little guy will need a home where he is the only fella. He’s not comfortable with other animals, and he tends to be possessive about those he loves. He can be protective of his crate and toys and possibly with his food. Sadly we feel he wasn’t taught to get along with others and share. If he’s not ready to come out of his crate, he will show you his grumpy side, so it’s apparent that this is a trigger for him. Someone patient and willing to work with him, will give him some time, and understands these behaviours are an absolute must for this darling. He seems to respond better to men, so even a couple with a man willing to be the ‘boss’.

Puppy is a great little dog, but as most of our fosters, he has his quirks. His foster family has been working diligently with him on learning some leash manners – he’s a puller! A harness is a must because he’s just SO darn excited to be out and about! He’s mostly a quiet little fella, but will bark for treats, excitement, and when he needs to go out.

If you’re a family who loves to be outdoors and run around, this is your match. Puppy loves to run, and he’s also quite a little escape artist, so an adopter who is very alert along with a secure, fenced yard is a must! Puppy’s favourite thing to do with toys is find the squeaky and remove it along with all the stuffing.

Other than a dental which is being taken care of by the rescue, Puppy is a healthy little dude. He is anxious to find his forever home, and is waiting to hear from you!!
