My foster family told me I'm doing so much better since I first came to live with them in November. I'm a lot more relaxed. I used to be tense and stressed, feeling like I need to protect my people on our walks. Now I sniff around and relax! My foster family has been working hard on our walks. My foster sister taught me how to sit and look at her when she stops. I've learned that if I ignore people we pass on the sidewalk I'm told I'm a good boy and even get a treat sometimes! I love going for walks and playing with my dog friends. I've learned that new humans aren't so bad! My foster sister takes me on walks after school with her friends and I've been such a good boy! When I first came to live with this foster family they muzzled me because in my past foster home I had some guarding issues, so just for safety, and so they could feel more calm they'd muzzle me around new people and on our walks. Now I don't need my muzzle on walks, and I don't need it when my foster sister takes me with her friends. They tell me I'm a good boy! This week I walked to the grocery store and waited outside with my foster sister. I didn't make a single sound at any of the dozens of people that walked past me. I practiced my 'watch me' and focusing when there are distractions around me. I've been such a good boy. I can't wait to find my forever family that'll love me up. Love, Puppers

Happy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. We are located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals.The breeds of our dogs and cats are a 'best guess.' We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
