Punky Terrier Mix SYLVANIA, GA

Punky is a 2or 3 year old 22lb Terrier mix we found in a High Kill Shelter. When Punky arrived he was very sick with an Upper Respiratory Virus and wasnt responding to antibiotics. After a couple months of different meds he started feeling better but his eyes started clouding over. One of his eyes returned to normal within 24 hours but the other did not.

Punky was neutered and the veterinarian believes he has glaucoma but can see just fine out of the eye and is in no pain.

Punky is high energy and loves people but can be VERY dog selective and will not back down from a fight if approached aggressively by another dog. He would probably do best in a 1 dog household.

***If you choose to adopt (before all vetting is complete) and use your own vet rather than our local Snip Clinic for these services, you do so at your own expense and it will not reduce the adoption fee. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE.

1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen.

2.) You will be notified by adoption coordinator if your application is approved. Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation.

3.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up.

4.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet.

5.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead.

6.) Adoption fees can be paid with Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal and credit Card.
