Hi, I’m Princess, a sweet, young (est. DOB 12/28/18) 8-pound chi mix who’s hoping to find the my fairy tale life where I’m swept off my paws and taken into a new life where I live happily ever after with my new family. I was rescued from a high-volume shelter and my foster thinks I probably didn’t have a whole lot of socialization in my previous life since I’m so shy and afraid of things and will need patience from my adopter to allow me to adjust. I’d do best with a home with women, older teenage girls, small dogs and even cats but men and small children scare me. Once I’ve adjusted to a home, I’m an adorable loving girl who just explodes with excitement when I see the people I trust. I’m presently living with dogs of all sizes and cats and getting along fine but prefer to socialize with the smaller ones. I hate walking on a leash so I will need a home with a secure yard so I can go outside to potty. My foster recommends that I stay in my harness and leash until I get to know my family and the “house rules”. I am crate trained and am making great strides in the training my foster has started. My foster will even let me sit next to her on the chair – I’m so in heaven with any attention I can get. Are you the family willing to give me a chance to show you how sweet and loving I can be?

Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies) which includes State of Texas sales tax. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.
