Primrose Chihuahua Mix Rochester, NY

Primrose is a Chihuahua female, approximately a year old, weighing about 9 lbs. She was found stray (perhaps dumped?) in Texas with a fractured right front leg which was surgically repaired with a plate inserted. She has a gentle timidness about her, but imagine being so young, so tiny, lost in the big outdoors with a broken leg! She will sometimes cower a bit until she gets to know you when you go to pick her up, but she quickly warms up to you once she knows you offer nothing but love. In fact, she can be quite snuggly and beg to be picked up if you are near. Primrose is already her foster mom’s little shadow. She has shown ZERO aggression toward her humans and fellow canines. If you want a lap dog, she scores high on the list
Primrose gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, many sizes and breeds. We don’t know how she is with cats. She is a quiet girl, and her foster mom has seldom heard her bark. When taken out on leash, she seemed a bit frightened, but it might have been too soon since her past had her stranded outside for no idea how long. Her Texas foster said she would go out in her fenced yard off-leash, then follow foster back inside. Right now she is potty pad trained and working on outside training.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.
