Pretzel Pit Bull Terrier Mix Framingham, MA

Hi! My name is Pretzel and I’m a dapper, young, 55lb male pit bull mix just looking for my happily ever after. I’m a very excitable guy and I just want to see and do everything I can. I haven’t had much experience with different things but boy do I want to learn! I had an evaluation done before I came to my foster home and the nice lady said I did very well with all of the tests. All I know is they kept giving me some yummy treats so I was in heaven. I would do whatever you wanted for yummy treats.

My foster parents have been teaching me all sorts of new things and so far I’ve learned that toys are almost as good as yummy treats and that my crate is a safe space to call my own. I’m even trying to learn how to play fetch and while I do enjoy it I find it a little confusing. I mean what exactly am I supposed to do once the ball stops?

I love all the people I meet, even kids, but I have a hard time controlling my excitement still so very small children might get knocked down by my joyful approach. I would also love to play with other dogs but I’m not quite sure how so I need someone with experience to help teach me how. Because I haven’t been socialized I need an owner who will commit to taking me to basic training/socialization classes. I really want someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am a very good boy but with a little patience I know I can be the most amazing dog in the neighborhood.

I am definitely young and eager enough to learn all sorts of new things including how to properly meet new people and dogs. So, if you are active and willing to help me learn how to be an amazing companion please fill out an application so we can meet.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
