Meet Pretty Penny

Penny was born on October 17, 2013.

BACKGROUND: Penny came to the rescue as an owner surrender very skinny (53 lbs.) and today is 100 lbs healthy & happy. She was loved but due to family circumstances, Penny came to the rescue in hopes of getting medical attention.

She is very clean & doesn't make a mess. Surprisingly, she doesn't shed much with her fine coat. Her Husky characteristics: narrow build, playful, nimble, athletic, critter chaser & escape artist. She needs a sturdy & tall fence or 6 ft. tall kennel run.

HEALTH: After running some tests, Penny was diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). EPI develops when the pancreas fails to produce enough digestive enzymes resulting in exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. This was the reason she was unable to metabolize her food properly. Her foster family nursed her back to health. Penny needs 1 teaspoon of (Pan-Tenex 10x Digestive Enzymes for Dogs) powered enzymes sprinkled on her food so her body can absorb the nutrition.

LIKES: Pet me! Love me! Let's play fetch! Cuddles! She is a people person & enjoys keeping your garden critter-free. She does well with children too.

PERSONALITY: Penny is a very SWEET girl who loves to hang out with her humans. She walks wonderfully on a leash but is quick to spot and chase critters. She gives paw and knows how to sit. She listens very well and would love a family to spoil her all day.

OTHER DOGS: Penny enjoys being the center of your affection! A true diva, she does not like to share her human with other dogs despite being friendly with male dogs.
