Hello,
My name is Prada. I’m a 2-3ish mixed breed, I weigh 28 kg. I’m extremely quiet. I’ve been in my foster home for about a month now and haven’t barked once, not even when the doorbell rings.

I’m a large breed dog so I’ll definitely need a yard where I can get some exercise. Speaking of exercise, my foster family has been working diligently with my leash training, but I’m not quite there yet. I’m getting used to wearing it on my collar, but still uneasy when you pick it up and try to walk with me. But I do love to run around with my foster mom and dad in our backyard and I definitely wear them out! I will need a fenced in yard.

I’m fully house trained and can go many hours without needing to go outside. I’m not a big fan of going into my crate, but once I’m inside it I’m good. My foster family has tried “tricking” me by putting treats or my food in my crate to help me get more comfortable with using it, but I’m way too smart to fall for that! But don’t be too worried, I have impeccable house manners. I don’t jump on the furniture unless you invite me and I only chew on my bones. I even leave “human” food alone when it’s left easily within my reach. I’ve been left alone un-crated in the house and I just wait patiently on my bed or by the door until my family returns.

Even though I am on the timid side, I am one of the sweetest little ladies you will ever meet. My foster folks aren’t really sure about my background, but I was found living in a diet den with my 9 pup’s about a month ago. They have all moved on to find wonderful homes and now I’m looking to find my forever home! My confidence has been slowly getting better every day but I will need a home that can continue to help me come out of my shell and just keep giving me love and reassurance.

I’d do best with an experienced dog owner who understands these kind of things, or someone who’s home a lot and can spend the time working with me. If you can just have just a little patience with me I know together we can do it and I can be the confident girl I’m meant to be!

Social distancing means I haven’t been around too many people or kids outside of my foster home. I’ve met a couple of other adults and I was open to them petting me and was lying on their feet within an hour. Because of my timid nature, my foster parents think I would be best in an adult household or a family with older children.

I’m a single dog in my foster home. I’m not sure how I would do with others. I do have a very sweet nature and my foster family thinks that I’d probably be OK with another dog and that maybe another easy-going and friendly dog would help my come out of my shell. I also have not been exposed to cats or small children.
Do you think we could be good team? Let’s meet!

Disclaimer: in most cases we are guessing the breed mix. These are best guesses on our part. For puppies it can be extremely difficult and we are also guessing on what size they will be.
