Meet Powie

Meet adoptable Powie!

Powie was picked up by animal control after running loose in Brownsville for three days. Someone in the neighborhood was worried about his safety and called him in to animal control so that he could be better taken care of without the risk of being ran over or attacked by other dogs running loose in the neighborhood. Powie came in mid-April and is now prepared to find a home!
Powie has an adventurous spirit, which is of course what landed him in the shelter. He seems to really like being outside in the fenced play yard where he can run around all day without the risk of being harmed. We think he would make a fine companion for someone who needs a furry friend to accompany them on adventures. Powie is a big fella and would certainly scare off any unwelcome guests that you may come across. On the other hand, he’s a big love bug so the worst he could do is lick someone to death. We think he would be great with older kids since he does have a bit of energy that needs to be worked out of him everyday. Powie is a smart guy and already knows how to sit for treats, so we are sure training him would be an absolute breeze! We just know there’s a loving family out there for Powie. Could it be you?!

Powie is about two years old and weighs 69 pounds. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites, and is negative for heartworm disease and all tick-borne illnesses.
