Meet Porkchop
**Porkchop is located in the St. Charles, IL area. We prefer to adopt out within the Chicagoland area**
Porkchop was found wandering in Southern Illinois. When nobody claimed him he was transported to Illinois Animal Rescue. Our best guess is that he is a pittie/shar pei mix. He is lab sized but with a more muscular build. He has medium energy and is not too barky.
Porkchop is pretty young, we believe about 1-2 years old. He is a sweet, playful and happy boy--an absolute love bug that will follow his people anywhere. He walks pretty well on a leash and is potty trained. He loves helping his foster mom cook meals (i.e., sitting and watching every move in case food falls) and then assisting her in eating (i.e., sitting with his head on her lap).
He currently lives with several cats and a Lab mix. He loves to wrestle and play with his doggie friend, but he IS strong, so he probably would do best with larger dogs. He hasn't been around any children, but our best guess is that due to his size and strength, he would do best in a home with older children.
