Poppy's Story

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/

Meet Poppy your future poolside buddy and backyard adventurer! This water-loving furball is basically a professional swimmer (she's convinced she's auditioning for the Doggy Olympics every time she jumps in). She's got the usual energy that comes with being a puppy, but she also knows how to kick back with a good chew treat, because, hey, even adventurers need their downtime.

Poppy is all about fun running around her fenced yard like it's her personal racetrack. She is looking for her next playmate - must be into light wrestling and spontaneous zoomies. But when she's not racing or diving into the pool, she's happy chilling in her crate, where she's totally crate-trained and potty-trained. So if you've got a pool, a backyard, and a playful pup to introduce, Poppy might just be your perfect match!

Perfectly Imperfect Pups's Adoption Policy
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions. The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption.

PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio. The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes p...
