Meet Poppy
Poppy is estimated to be a little over a year old. She is high energy and needs a human who is able to give her the space and time to get her zoomies out. A fenced back yard is a MUST! We believe she might be mixed with some kind of herding breed. She is very athletic and can jump pretty high for her size. If you're looking for a running or hiking partner, she's your gal! Poppy snuggles at night and loves to lay on her back (it’s pretty adorable).
She has lived with multiple dogs and plays well with all. Poppy doesn’t show any signs of food aggression and lets humans pick up her food and take away any toys/bones if need be. She did chase the cats in her previous foster home (to play), but is gentle once she encounters them. Poppy is able to be redirected once she
starts to stare at the cats like she is about to chase them. However, she might be too high energy for more fearful kitties.
Poppy is very food motivated and has been doing well with crate training. She now knows the words sit and crate. She has been very gentle with and absolutely ADORES children!
She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready for her forever home!
Her adoption fee is $175. You can apply to adopt Poppy at lexpitcrew.org
A meet and greet with applicant's current pets will be required.
