Aye Aye Sailor, meet Popeye!

Popeye is an approximately 9-month old male Shepherd mix and will weigh 50-60 lbs. (best guess) as an adult. He was rescued after being abandoned under a bridge near downtown OKC.

What can you say about this one-eyed sailor that he is a big ole lover boy! He enjoys wrestling and playing with his foster siblings. He does get super excited and will jumping up on you, but he just can’t contain himself sometimes! He needs a family or individual who are active and can make sure he gets lots of exercise.

Popeye is a little intimidated at adoption outreaches and doesn’t always show his true personality. Once relaxed in a home, his sweet and playful side come out!

Popeye would do best in a home with other dogs and children over 8 would be fine, as he communicates through his paws and can scratch sometimes. He is a fun dog!

Popeye is not a fan of crates and is left out when the foster parents are gone, and is not destructive, but they have a doggy door so he gets to run outside during the day. He is house-trained but could use some assistance on a leash, but he is improving!

Popeye needs a stockade fenced back yard as he does love to run outside!

Popeye is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
