This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Pompeii Italia is a 5 month old, 22 pound, Black Lab/Hound mix gal who was found with his siblings as a stray in Mississippi.

And with these puppies you will feel all the excitement of traveling the world without even leaving your home :)

These pups are your typical energetic youngsters. They are outgoing and super friendly! They absolutely love meeting new people and really love children! They have also done well with all the dogs in rescue too. They love romping and playing, and then taking a nice long snooze in the sun. They are very attention motivated and will do almost anything for love and affection. They are starting all of their leash, crate, and housebreaking skills, but like any other young pup they will need families devoted to training and exercise.

Pompeii is the calmest most chill of the puppies. She loves being close to her people. No volcanic behavior eruptions with this pup!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
