Meet -Polo in Maine
He is smart, quirky, fast & playful and high energy.
He loves to play with other respectful dogs and is as fast as the wind. He enjoys playing with toys and socializing with other dogs and knows commands like "sit" and "leave it". He walks well on a leash, sleeps in his crate at night but prefers to sleep on the bed with his foster mom. He will alert bark for a minute if there are noises outside or if someone comes to the door, but is happy to greet everyone.
Polo loves to be on furniture and at times you lap, so if this isn't your jam, Polo isn't for you.
His favorite place is in the armchair with a view out the window.
He would love an active family and will be placed in a home with another playful dog as this is his happy place. Preference will be given to a home with a secure fenced yard, as he has a ton of energy that he needs to burn off several times a day by running; afterwards, he will settle in.
Polo will alert bark, also bark when playing and when the other resident dogs bark he'll join in with a crazy little beagle bay.
After play and exercise (over 3 hours a day) he is happy to settle in to his dog bed or favorite chair. He loves his orange squeaky that you see in his photos.
He is mouthy when he wants to play, but can be redirected to his toys and chew toys.
Polo's diet is Purina Pro Plan Sensitive stomach. He enjoys chopped carrots and apples for treats.
