Meet PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY ~Butch
Meet Butch - 3½- 4 yr old, Boxer/ Great Dane Mix. Butch has now been available for adoption for 2 years!! He is available with the Friends of Glocester Animal Shelter in Rhode Island!
He was adopted for 3 weeks, but absolutely refused to get along with the cat in the house. Butch needs a special home, and we will be extremely picky about where he goes - he can easily be set up for failure, and we won't allow that. Butch is an energetic, protective, attention craving, job seeking, loving boy. He needs a firm, but patient person. He will walk all over you (sometimes literally) if allowed, but he's very eager to please, and highly trainable. He has learned everything he knows with positive reinforcement and the use of a "mom voice".
**He needs a home with no children, and no cats but probably best in a home all of his own. His new person/people need to understand that he will never be a super social dog. He's a ladies man, but will attach to a male in the house over time.
