Other Dogs: Not a dog park candidate, does not get along with male dogs, female dogs ok with slow introductions.
Cats: No, has some prey drive.
Kids: Unknown, no exposure while in foster care. Teenagers would be fine.

Pippin is a sweet and friendly guy who loves his humans and receiving affection! He is a super happy, joyful pup and a big goof! He will for sure bring hours of laughter and fun to your household. Pippin is very responsive to direction and training. He thrives in an environment where he has clear expectations and boundaries. His adoptive human(s) should plan to continue this training so he can be his best self and family member.

Pippin is very loyal and bonds quickly. He has been very protective of his foster family and has shown some nervousness and anxiety in the past around men in uniform e.g., delivery personnel, mail carriers. This is often common for pups who have had a negative experience with Animal Control. However, when given the opportunity to know everyone is safe with slow introductions, Pippin is fine and happy to be part of the party!

Pippin loves an active lifestyle and enjoys chasing tennis balls, playing with stuffed animal toys, and nose-work games; he has an extraordinary sense of smell and a very soft gentle mouth! He also loves going for walks, food, and mental enrichment toys like stuffed Kongs, puzzles or fetch. Pippin is very smart!

Being that Pippin is high energy he would love to have a fenced yard to play in and because he is an excellent jumper, it would need to be at least six feet tall; however, if he is getting lots of daily exercises, he does not need one. Pippin would be an excellent running mate!

Pippin would love a home where he feels he is an important part of his human(s) lives filled with lots of snuggles, toy time, exercise, and adventures. He is a loyal pup who thrives on activity and being the center of attention!



His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
