Meet Pippa

Pippa was in a rural shelter in TX for 9 months before coming to Maryland to join our Knine Family. Here's what her foster says about her: "She is very sweet and loving, she will happily cuddle up next to you on the couch and just chill for hours but she is also curious and can keep up on walks. she loves to play with our two dogs, usually chase and keep away and 15 minutes of that serms to be enough to wear her out for a while.

She is great with our 11 year old son, shes still a bit mouthy so I would go with older kids unless we can get her to stop. I dont think she needs a kid free house but older kids or dog savvy kids would be good. I think she would be okay as an only dog if someone was with her most of the time but another dog would be the best.

She is still very desperate around food, go figure with how skinny ehe is, so we feed her separately but we haven't had any issues with resource guarding. She is already putting on weight so my guess is that she was either super stressed in the shelter or she was kenneled with other dogs that didn't let her eat.

She makes it through the night without needing a potty break and she can go several hours without needing one during the day. A few accidents but now that we have her on a schedule we haven't had any.

She is learning how to be in a house, stairs were the devil until a few days ago. she likes to see what is on the counters in the kitchen, that will need some work. No barking at all yet, she will whine in the crate in the morning to be let out "
