Meet Piper

Piper is a 1 year old female Doberman, whose perfect home would have a fenced yard with lots of room to run and play ball. She is very good at sounding the alarm when someone new arrives and enjoys barking at neighbors, so a quiet neighborhood with not much activity would be nice. She enjoys her free time exploring smells outside; however, Piper still loves to follow her human from room to room and learn all about what goes on. Piper sleeps very well in a kennel or her dog bed and promptly puts herself to bed at 10pm. She will then eagerly greet you in the morning, toy in mouth, ready for a new day of playing ball, chasing her tail, or practicing her obedience commands. She will be so excited to see you after work that her little nub tail will wiggle so fast she can't help but to chase it in circles! Because Piper is food possessive with other dogs she would do well as an only dog or with an experienced owner willing to work with her on this. Piper enjoys going on pop car rides and walks. She is still practicing her leash walking and uses a harness to help with pulling. She loves going to Petco and has not shown any aggression towards other dogs (other than her food bowl). She has shown issues with rawhide chews and being possessive even with humans, so chews have not been allowed. Elk antlers and durable chews are allowed. It is unknown how she is around cats; however, when it is time to settle down for snuggles, she will put her head between your legs asking for scratches on her cheeks & chin/neck just like a cat! Piper is coming from a home with a 12 year old child and does very well. Children under 12 are unknown.
Piper is being rehomed due to not getting along with the elderly Chiweenie in the house.
