Meet Piper

Piper is a 2.5 year old chihuahua/terrier girl. She has short coat with a few wire hair spots (like a mo-hawk) that is blond and cream. Piper is great with dogs of all ages and sizes and wonderful with children. When she gets excited her bottom stays on the floor while the rest of her bounces up and down. She is always right at the door wanting to go for a car ride or to the dog park to play with the other dogs, she has made many friends at her local dog park and she loves to follow her foster mom around.
She is kennel trained and knows how to use the doggie door, but she is still working on being house trained due to a past injury. She loves squeaky toys, antlers to chew on, lots of treats, playing tug-o-war and sleeping on the bed.
Her perfect home would be a family with a one level home whom could be home with her most of the day or have other dogs to play with.
She is a snuggle buddy and loves telling you she appreciates you by showering you with doggie kisses. If you think Piper might be a good fit for you or your family, please apply through yvpr.org. She is up to date on vaccinations, rabies and is spayed.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the foster. If a pet has 'pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
