Pinto lives in a boarding kennel but he had a fun playdate at Dogwood.

Pinto is a 4-5 year old lab/German Wirehair pointer mix of around 75 pounds. He previously lived in a vehicle with a man who was no longer able to care for him, ended up abandoned at a boarding kennel a year or so ago and he’s been sitting in a concrete kennel ever since.

Pinto is very friendly with people and dogs. Sometimes a little too friendly. Even though he’s neutered he’s very strong and he gets a little excited and humpy meeting new friends. After a year in a kennel it’s easy to understand how he gets overstimulated and needs to brush up on his manners.

Pinto will have to remain in boarding until adoption because we have no room but he had a fun play day at Dogwood today. He absolutely LOVES water, loves people, loves other dogs and did great in the tub for his bath. He would no doubt chase a cat that runs but was easily managed around cats during his visit. We don’t want Pinto to spend the rest of his life in a kennel and we believe he would make a wonderful indoor companion with some patience and training. He’s loves being in a house and in the car and loves to be with people.
