Meet Piko 2889
My name is Pico, and I'm a Shiba Inu, but my early life was... a lot. I came from what the humans call a "puppy mill bust." It was a scary place with too many of us, and not enough kindness. When I was rescued with the others, I was so nervous, and it took me a long time to understand that I was safe. I'm a sweet girl, really, but it takes me a bit to open up. At first, I might be a little avoidant, maybe even try to keep my distance. But if you have a gentle hand and lots of patience, I promise I'll warm up. Once I trust you, I have so much love to give! I'm looking for a home that understands I need boundaries and time to truly blossom. A quiet home with adults or older kids who respect my space would be perfect. I get along with other dogs great but I'm not the biggest fan of sharing my food with other dogs, so it would be best if I could eat separately or at least have my meals monitored. I've come so far, and I'm ready to find my forever family. Could that be you?
