Piglet is about 3 years old and appears to be Dachshund-Jack Russell mix and maybe a little bully breed in the mix. She weighs about 29 pounds, is fully vetted and has the softest fur ever.
Piglet was dumped out of a car window in the middle of an intersection and luckily she was rescued and is now looking for her forever home. Piglet is doing well in her foster home and her fosters have really grown attached to her as she is very sweet. They have two dogs of their own (male & female) so three pups are a lot for them to care for so they cannot keep Piglet. Piglet does well in the house with the other dogs during the day while her fosters are work.
She would probably do best as an only dog. If there are other dogs in the home, they will need to understand that Piglet needs time to get to know them. She hasn’t had any experience with cats or small children.
They call her Piglet because she has short stubby legs, grunts a lot and is a little on the pudgy side. Absolutely adorable. She is house broken and just wants to sit on a lap and hang out on the couch-she'd sleep on the bed if she could jump that high. She loves people, toys and to play tug.
Piglet is deaf so sticks close but responds to hand signals. She functions so well we didn't realize she was deaf for a couple days. Piglet would make a great companion to someone who is home all day, as she just wants to hang out with her humans.
The owner before the one that dumped her was contacted via her microchip and had rehomed her last August. The family did not want her back.
She is a courtesy post for her rescuers. If you have questions about Miss Piglet please email luckydog115@gmail.com
