Piglet Chihuahua Mix Denver, CO

Hiya, My name is Piglet. I am a sweet 7 year old chihuahua mix. I was brought to MaxFund because my family was moving and were unable to bring me with them. My friends at the shelter have been helping me transition very nicely and think it's time I find a lovely home for me.

Since I lived most of my life alone, I will need to be the only dog in the household. I don't really like hanging out with other doggos but I do well with cats. I would do best in a home with no children. I love toys and food so those are all great motivators for me. On the other hand I can not indulge too much in the sweet treats! I came to MaxFund a little bigger than I should be and I am in the process of working on my summer body!

I really enjoy walks and playing with toys. Do not let my size fool ya, I am not a lap dog. I'd rather be experiencing adventures alongside you and not in your arms or lap. I'll make the best partner in crime you've ever had.

How our adoption process works:
1. You MUST come into the shelter to meet a dog you are interested in (and meet a few others, while you’re at it!)

We do not require appointments – come anytime during normal business hours.

Our hours are 10-5 Mon, Wed, Thu Fri / 11-5 Saturday / 12-5 Sunday

We suggest you call ahead to be sure the dog(s) do not have pending applications

2. You will fill out your adoption application, including references, after finding a dog you’d like to adopt

3. The application review and reference checks will take up to 3-5 business days; you will not be able to bring a dog home same-day

We only take 2 applications per dog, before they are unavailable. This is why we suggest you call ahead to check the status of the pup!



We do not adopt out-of-state.
