Pig GDP's Story
Meet Pig -- The Sweetest Little Snugglebug born around April 1, 2025. Pig (affectionately known as Piggy Pie or Pigarus) is a joyful, affectionate pup who radiates happiness wherever he goes. When he and his littermates were rescued from a dirt road on May 1, Pig was thought to be the runt but he's grown into a handsome young dog, resembling a charming mix of Border Collie and Labrador.

Pig is bursting with puppy energy and enthusiasm. He loves to run, play, cuddle, and shower you with puppy kisses. He's a social butterfly who adores adults, kids, other dogs, and even cats. Toys and treats are his jam, but what he craves most is one-on-one attention and affection.

His name was lovingly given by a 9-year-old girl, who thought his tiny black-and-white body looked just like a little piglet. Today, Pig still carries that same sweet, curious spirit -- and he gets absolutely giddy when it's time to play but is also a couch-loving cuddle monster who would much rather be indoors soaking up snuggles than outside alone. He's agile, athletic, and loves to run, making him a great match for an active family who can keep up with his playful nature.

Pig is looking for a forever home that can offer patience for some more training (he's not housebroken yet), walks and outdoor playtime, a secure yard to romp, and indoor bed for snuggles. The right family will be endlessly rewarded with his love, loyalty, and affection. He's ready to give it all.

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.

Pig is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.
