Pierogi is a 4-month-old Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix with a sleek, dark silver coat, one white sock, and the most soulful gray eyes you’ve ever seen. Handsome and affectionate, Pierogi has all the makings of a dream dog—gentle, smart, cuddly, and calm beyond his age. Pierogi’s story began in Houston, Texas, where he and his three siblings were heartbreakingly abandoned in a cardboard box outside of a busy gym. An animal loving Good Samaritan rescued the pups and gave them a safe place to land until they could be placed with the rescue and transport to the Pacific Northwest to find his person. .

Though still a puppy, Pierogi is impressively well-mannered. He is kennel trained, nearly fully potty trained, and incredibly intuitive—picking up on routines and forming strong bonds with his people. He loves other dogs, and while he enjoys romping and playing, he’s also content to curl up with a toy or cuddle buddy and put himself to sleep. While he is still learning how to leash train, Pierogi is exceptionally intelligent and learns quickly.

A social butterfly, Pierogi gets along well with dogs of all sizes, has been exposed to cats, and is wonderful with children—gentle, patient, and always happy to receive love from the little ones. He would thrive in a home with another confident pup to lead the way, or with a devoted human who will continue his training and enrichment. All in all, he's just a chill, lazy pup with short bursts of energy followed by epic nap times (his favorite!).

Pierogi is fully vetted—neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea prevention. He’s ready to grow into an amazing breed ambassador and a lifelong best friend.
