Meet Phoenix
Phoenix’s person was evicted and the dogs had nowhere safe to go, so HUA stepped in to help. Phoenix is a happy, carefree boy who LOVES his toys, going for walks on his leash, and playing to his heart’s content. We determined early on that he is deaf so caregivers taught him signs to help him in his training. Phoenix did so well that he was voted Class Star. He is rather goofy and a little bit clumsy, and the caregivers and volunteers love to spend time with him. Phoenix has a micro-eye that somewhat limits his vision from the left side, so sudden motions can frighten him, but he recovers quickly and never lets anything scary keep him down. He is trusting of humans and knows we will keep him safe from harm. This handsome boy is good friends with the other dogs and he would love to have a canine sibling in his new home, but this is not a requirement. What Phoenix wants more than anything is a forever home with a loving family of his own.
