Meet Phoenix - Fostered in Mass
Fostered in Mass. Poor Phoenix did not have a good life up until now. He was spotted by our rescuer at a house in rural Mississippi. She was able to convince the owners to let her take him, and we are sure if she hadn’t he wouldn't be alive today. He was severely malnourished, his tail was gone (the owners swore he had one at one point) and could barely walk. Our rescuer took him home, cared for him and now he is ready for a home with people who will love him. He is about 2yo and approx 25-30 lbs. He is good with kids(older kids would be best so they can understand him a bit better) and other dogs. He can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up and is very sweet and playful. In the short time at his foster home in mass he has learned sit, responds very well to his foster home, is completely house trained and is very smart. His foster mom says he likes to snuggle on the sofa and is learning to play with toys. Phoenix is still a little afraid on car rides but she is working on that with him. Phoenix is neutered and current on his vaccinations. If you want Phoenix to be a member of your family please apply at Americanlabrescue.com.
