Phantom Tibetan Spaniel & Australian Shepherd Mix Brentwood, CA

Phantom was aptly named because of her striking blue eye. Isn't she gorgeous? And this girl has a gorgeous spirit about her when you know all she's been through. This girl came to us having had surgery to repair a broken hip and broken legs (probably due to being hit by a car). Somehow the vet decided not to spay her though and, lo and behold, a month later she was back at a vet to have an emergency c-section because she was in labor! Thank God there were only three BIG pups and they were all healthy! Can you imagine her pushing big pups out a broken pelvis???

Well, now that the pups are old enough to find new families, and her bones are healed, this beauty is ready for a new home of her own.

Phantom is a sweet and gentle soul that wants to please people We believe she has some Aussie in her and maybe Tibetan Spaniel but really don't know. Whatever she is, she is beautiful in side and out. Having a smart breed in there, she bonds to her people and takes a while to warm up to new folks. BUT once she knows you are her people and she can trust you, she will be loyal and loving to the end. Just watch how she loves her foster people and you'll see how she will love her new family.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
