Petunia's Story
Petunia — lovingly known as Tunie — is pure softness wrapped in a puppy body. She has a calm, steady presence and a naturally affectionate nature that feels effortless and sincere. Being close to her people is her happy place, and she carries herself with a quiet trust that instantly melts hearts.

Born on Thanksgiving Day, Tunie has a beautiful way of expressing love. Every time she’s picked up, she leans her head back into your chest, completely relaxed, just waiting for pets — her signature move and her love language. She enjoys soaking up affection, settling in comfortably, and simply being near the people she loves.

Tunie is deeply people-oriented without ever being demanding. She checks in, engages, and then relaxes, making her an especially wonderful companion for everyday life. She is everything we adore about the Chunky Litter — gentle, social, emotionally steady, and easy to live with.

She would thrive in a home with another friendly pup sibling to share routines, companionship, and quiet moments. Tunie does especially well with canine companionship and settles beautifully into a multi-dog household.

Sweet, affectionate, and endlessly comforting, Tunie is the kind of puppy who makes home feel softer just by being there.

SEE VIDEOS OF TUNIE HERE:
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL80kWIlZCtlTVHvtREh5Ues2WaLZbIvKk&si=ATksg-r3RMXCsQy1

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

Petunia (Tunie) is currently in foster care in Texas and will be making her way to the Northeast in early February to continue foster care until she finds her forever home.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers. If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com
.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website:
www.stmuttsrescue.com
