Hello!

I have been given the name of Petey! My 'owner' was seen tying me out in a back alley in Atlanta! By the grace of God, someone saw me and rescued me from that situation but he was staying in a hotel. He couldn't take me but was nice enough to pay for a sitter until a foster could be found... and they were found!

My foster mommy says that I am BEYOND an awesome boy! I'm so so sweet. I just want to please my person. It makes me SO happy! I pout when I think I'm being ignored or if I think I might have done something wrong. My foster mom thinks it's pretty funny...she's a little rude.

I get along with great with dogs but I can be a bit much for some small dogs. I don't mean to be but I don't always realize that I'm larger than they are. I try to play really gentle but sometimes I accidentally trip over them. I'm nice to kitties too. I might be too much for small children that mind being bumped sometimes but I would LOVE to have my own children to play with!

I know how to sit, I'm good on a leash and I'm not a chewer. I'm only about a year and a half years old and an all around wonderful boy! I really love popcorn! I will sit waiting patiently for some to be thrown and I'm excellent at catching it! I'm very smart and would love to learn new tricks.

I get ecstatic when I have a bone. I will throw it up in the air and would be over the moon if you play fetch with me. I'm an excellent watch dog but for some reason tools scare me. Laying out and imitating a frog is one of my specialties.

I'm housebroken and awesomely crate trained but I don't need one. I like to sleep in there if I can't sleep with you. If you leave the crate door open, I bounce in there if I think I'm in trouble or if I think you need to give me a treat for being in my crate. Yes, I'm a little goofy.

I would be thrilled for someone to be home a lot and a doggie friend would be awesome! I definitely would enjoy going for hikes, rides, walks, and maybe even boating. I basically want to be your favorite buddy to hang out with. I love to be active but I'm a cuddler too! I will sit in lap and fall asleep or chew my bone, if you are good with that. I even fall asleep on my foster mommy's lap with her little dog. He's my little buddy.

If you work from home, I'm a really good boy and will chew my bone or fall asleep behind you. If you let me, I will sleep with you too! Did I mention that I am a cuddle bug? My only desire is to make you smile!!!
