Meet Petey
Petey is a 7 year old Lab mix. He came to us after his owner passed away and landed at animal control. Petey is typically a relaxed and chilled out guy and looking for a more calm family and siblings.
Petey has a very sweet temperment. He gets along well with other dogs and will play with them. He likes to be around people but he isn’t clingy. He is well trained in taking walks and will follow the command “sit”. He’s house trained and doesn’t shed much. He likes both women and men. We haven’t had him around children or cats, so we don’t know how he does with them. He sleeps on a dog bed or a low couch. He isn’t a high energy dog, but he does like to play. He will bark to let you know he needs something. He has been in a crate and does well. He isn’t a chewer, but he occasionally enjoys a deer antler. Petey is very sweet with strangers, he’s made friends with several of our neighbors. He travels well, he will settle down easily in the car.
He would love a comfy couch or bed to sleep on and get spoiled the rest of his life.
