Pete (and Pria) Mixed Breed Winnsboro, SC

“Dumpster Dogs”
Pete and Pria were found in a dumpster at the Blair Recycling center. Trapped. Unable to get out.
It is unknown how they found themselves in there but once in, they couldn’t make their way back out. Thankfully they were discovered before this situation turned into a worse one for these two nuggets.
Pete is very skinny. Has scars in various areas of his body. He is neutered. He is also microchipped. He was also wearing a collar with a phone number on it. But that number came back with: “I don’t have any dogs”. Dead end. No luck with the phone number on the microchip either. ?
4 yrs old, 38 lbs, HW-
Pria was not wearing a collar. No microchip. Does not appear to be spayed and looks like she’s had at least 1 litter. She is terrified. She trembles profusely. Tail tucked. And the only way I was able to coax her out of the kennel was by bringing Pete out. And that was the only way she would walk. She is stuck to him like glue. Where he goes, she goes.
Before yall ask! Given Pete is neutered, we were able to house them together to at least give her some comfort and security. ??
Pria is estimated to be 1.5-2 yrs old, 43 lbs and sadly heartworm positive.

**Rescue: these two will need to be pulled together so one is not left behind in this scary environment as they are very much each other's comfort.
