Pete's Story
Meet Pete, a 5 year old beagle mix whose heart is even bigger than his spirit. This loving amputee is a poster pup for resilience, proving that having three legs doesn't slow him down one bit. His favorite place to be is running and exploring the great outdoors. Whether he's chasing a ball, bunnies, or just sniffing the breeze, the backyard is his personal happy place. He enjoys playing with other dogs, once he gets warmed up to them. He loves people and children. Whether they are crawling over him or cuddling on the couch, he loves the attention.
Due to his IVDD and surgery two years, his right behind leg had to be amputated. Pete may have some medical difficulties, but his cute face and loyalty will say it all.
Pete is first and foremost a certified cuddle expert. His greatest joy is being as close to his people as possible. Pete believes there's no such thing as too much affection! He will gently lean into your hand for endless pets, and once you sit down, you can expect him to wiggle his way onto your lap or into the crook of your arm for the deepest, most satisfying cuddles.

If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below.
Application link (please copy and paste into your browser's address bar)
https://ws.ishelters.com/application.php?k=coonhOUnd&t=Beagle%20Adoption

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue.
