Perry....where do we start. Perry came from a hoarding situation, where he lived outside and had no human interaction. This boy has been at the shelter for over 4 YEARS! Yes, you read that right, 4 years, half his life. He has no idea what a home and a family is. The shelter and shelter staff, is his home and family. Why hasn’t he been adopted? Perry is misunderstood and could be called a recluse. He always hides, when someone comes along, and they never get to meet him. He is very shy, and submissive. Perry is a good leash walker, we are working on winning him over this way. Daily walks are working to gain this boy’s trust. Sometimes he may let you pet him, or take a treat from you! If you’re someone who’s looking for a companion and don’t need instant gratification, please consider giving Perry his forever home. Perry does ok with other calm dogs. A home that is calm and quiet, IS A MUST! With a little love, LOTS of patience and understanding, this diamond in the rough, could shine. He needs a calm, quiet home with one or two adults. Children would be overwhelming for this guy. ONLY HOMES WITH A PRIVACY FENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED!!!
