Pepper's Story

Pepper is one of the hoarder dogs and had puppies the day after they were received at CMHS. She had very little good contact with humans and was very scared. Pepper has gained a lot of weight and is a beautiful black dog with a little white on her. She has become a great farm dog, gets along well with other dogs, cows, chickens, and cats and has learned people can be good and loves to go with us on the farm. She is a heeler mix and will need someone who understands the breed and is willing to spend lots of time with her. She is very wary of strangers and would not do good in a high traffic home. She is one of the cleanest dogs and does not like a messy kennel. She is also very trainable and listens well but needs time to understand she is safe.
