Pepper Pit Bull Terrier & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Liberty, MO

Hi, I'm Pepper but named that way thanks to my freckles cause I'm not spicy like a pepper. I'm a sweet little peach. My shelter mama's took me from some sweet gals that do something called outreach in the Polo area. We don't have a shelter there but dogs like me and this little twerp I hitched a ride with, "Peanut", still needed to find new homes when times got tough for our last set of folks.

My favorite snack is raw sweet potatoes. So that's fun. I know how to sit, lay down, crawl and dance. Those are extra fun. Snuggling is the best thing ever. When you scratch me just right I do a booty hoppin dance that'll make ya really chuckle. I love to snuggle kids. I had lots of them at my last home. I could make a job of it. The shelter mama's were poking my medicines in me and I only cared about getting my kisses.

So lets see, I'm about 2 years old and 50lbs. I love my toys and really take good care of them so I can enjoy them for as long as possible. I don't play rough because my past mom said ouch once and I never acted up like that again. I just want to be loved on and enjoy snuggles and sweet potatoes.


Pepper will have an adoption fee of $80.00 with an approved adoption application. This fee will cover the cost of her sterilization, canine distemper and bordetella vaccinations, as well as a simple dewormer. This fee does NOT cover the cost of her rabies vaccination and heartworm test, which are to be paid by the adopter at time of pick up from the servicing veterinary clinic.

Once completed, you must submit to shelter staff via email at aco@libertymo.gov or by fax. Liberty Animal Shelter staff will review your application and contact you to advise of receipt, approval and schedule an appointment.

The Liberty Animal Shelter is currently open 11 to 5 Monday- Friday and by appointment 9-5 daily.
