Pepper is a 2-year-old (40lb.) spayed female ACD who is currently located in New Jersey. This sweet pea is initially very cautious and needs a soft approach so that she can gain trust. Once she trusts you she has so much love to give! Pepper is healthy and up to date on vaccines. She will be receiving heartworm treatment on 1/1/3 -1/14, will need to keep her heart rate low afterwards for 4-6 weeks and will not be available for her forever home until the end of February.
She is microchipped, housebroken and loves to play outside with me and or my 2 medium size dogs. She walks well on a leash, likes long walks and responds well to her name. Pepper can show a silly side when she’s happy and knows how to “sit”. She is food motivated so command training could be pretty straightforward. Although she loves to be active, she is also quite happy to curl up on the couch and cuddle. Pepper enjoys belly rubs and being brushed.
I believe that Pepper could thrive in a household with a playful confident dog and without small children. Due to her fearfulness she is a flight risk so a fenced in yard would be best. Pepper is truly a “diamond in the ruff” and has a lot to give if you are willing to help her see she can count on you.
