Pepper is a beautiful three year old black female. She has been an absolute dream foster. While she is a bit shy at first, she opened up very quickly and is a huge sweetheart. She is a very curious girl and always has the biggest smile on her face. She will follow you from room to room glued to your hip and loves cuddling up to get ear and neck scratches. She likes playing in the back yard but is also perfectly happy to just lounge in her big comfy bed all day. She loves stuffed dog toys and when she’s done playing with them she likes to pile them all in her bed and take naps on them. She has no fear at all of slippery hardwood floors, and has had no accidents in the house. She is a fast learner who picked up stairs quickly and is improving her leash manners with every walk. We are still working on crate training at night, but she has had some perfectly quiet nights (even during a thunderstorm!). She has a fairly high prey drive so she will need a house without cats or smaller dogs. She does fine with larger dogs and gets along great with our greyhound. All and all she really could not be an easier dog and seems to have a lot of love to give. If we were at a place in our lives where we could have a second dog we would adopt her in a second. The adoption fee HGA is $285.99. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee that is applied to an approved adoption.
