The Chill Best Friend You Didn’t Know You Needed
Penny is the kind of dog who makes you wonder why anyone ever thought owning a dog was “work.” At 4 years old and 63 pounds of pure easygoing energy, this brindle-and-white beauty has perfected the art of being the world's most low-maintenance sidekick.
Crate trained? Yep. Leash trained? Absolutely. Fully qualified co-pilot for car rides? Without question. Penny is just as happy trotting alongside you on a walk as she is parked on the couch supervising your snack choices. She’s got the kind of mellow vibe that fits in anywhere—up for a romp if you are, completely content to lounge if you’re not. No pressure, no drama. Just vibes.
One of our favorite things about Penny? —like she’s settling in for an episode of your favorite show. It’s weirdly adorable and totally on brand for her laid-back, quietly hilarious personality.
Penny is also full of surprises—in the best way. After being introduced to water, she decided she’s absolutely about that life. Splashing, wading, maybe a little doggy paddle when the mood strikes—she’s all in. Really, Penny’s just thrilled to be included in whatever you’re doing. Backyard barbecue? She’s there. Lazy Sunday? Count her in. Quick road trip? Shotgun’s already taken.
She’s confident enough to be your one-and-only if you don’t have another dog at home, but she’s also polite and easy with dog friends if you do. And cats? Her foster has two, and Penny couldn’t care less. Indifferent in the most respectful way—she’s got better things to do, like nap in a sunbeam or stare lovingly into your soul.
