Penny was originally found starving and tied up under a bridge in Tennessee. She was saved by some incredible humans down there, and is now being fostered by another incredible human here in Illinois! She has come a long way and is ready for her forever home.

Penny would probably do best with a family that works from home or isn’t gone too much, her foster momma is gone all day at work and she doesn’t love that, but she has been learning how to be calm in her crate. She’s come a long way already!

Penny loves her humans! She has yet to meet a stranger, she loves everyone she meets and just wants to snuggle and cuddle them right away.

She also loves other dogs. She would also thrive in a home with another young dog to play with, she loves to play!

Penny is mostly potty trained - she always pees outside but is working on pooping outside every time too. She is working on some other house manner things too like learning to not jump up on people or counters.

There are three other dogs in her foster home and Penny has done great with them, including the alpha female in the house.

Penny is beyond sweet, especially considering her history. A comfy couch and a loving human is all this girl needs. She is the biggest love bug! We cannot wait to meet the family lucky enough to adopt her!
