History: Pemberton was taken as a young pup in Ensenada, MX who was living with an abusive man (a drug addict according to them) who used to beat him. The neighbor woman convinced him to give him up and a local rescuer reached out to us to take him in.
Best Home: A single or couple who are experienced dog parents and know how to establish themselves as leaders. While Pemberton is handsome and smart, he's also willful and can potentially take advantage of someone with passive energy and for this reason needs a strong leader.
Amazing Qualities: Pemberton is wicked smart as we've noted and he knows a laundry list of commands including all basic obedience such as SIT, STAY, DOWN, SHAKE, COME, BED, CRATE, WAIT and the list goes on.

Our dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters.
