Meet Peggy Sue
Well, Hello Peggy Sue, Goodbye heart… Sweet Peggy Sue is between 10 months and 1 year old. She is a boxer mix weighing about 25 lbs. Peggy Sue was found as a stray. The vet who examined her right after she was rescued believes that she was kept in a crate that was too small for her and her bones did not have a chance to develop as they should have. As a result, she is just now growing into her feet but will most likely remain smaller than other boxers.
Peggy Sue has some specific requirements for her forever home. She is very loving and deserves the absolute best.
She is not destructive in the home and must not be crated.
She needs an active fur brother or sister to tire her out, and she requires a fenced yard.
Peggy Sue is not leash trained, but she is extremely intelligent. Her new family must take her to puppy training classes. She a great riding buddy.
Peggy Sue is the happiest girl in the world and is sensitive to the moods of those around her. She needs a well adjusted family without raised voices to grow up with. She will do well with children over the age of 9 years. She plays hard all day and sleeps hard in the BIG bed with her Foster parents at night.
Peggy Sue will be spayed on May 11th so she will be available for adoption by May 19th.
She will be fully vetted by adoption and on preventives.
If you are interested in adopting Peggy Sue please go to gertiessmalldogrescue.org to fill out the adoption app and submit it.
