Meet Peggy Hill
Watch this girl shine in her video!
https://youtu.be/IGw_m5RpgFU?feature=shared
Peggy is about 4 years old and an American Pit Bull Terrier mix (though, as a rescue, her exact breed isnt certain). Shes a tiny girl with a big heart, low-energy, and small enough to be the perfect apartment companion or a little shadow following you from room to room in a house. Despite a deformity in one of her front legs that she was born with, Peggy runs, jumps, and plays just like any other pup! Her little leg never slows her down, and it never stops her from joining in on fun and playtime! She is truly so sweet and strong!
This sweet girl loves her people more than anything. She will happily cuddle on the couch, follow you around the house, and sit by your side while you work or relax. Shes happiest when shes included in daily life, whether thats snuggling during movie night, accompanying you on short walks or errands, or just sitting on your lap while you sip your morning coffee. Peggys huge smile and wagging tail make even ordinary days feel special.
On leash, Peggy walks great. Her low-energy lifestyle and small size make her a great fit for a first-floor apartment or a home with elevator access. She enjoys gentle play but is just as happy relaxing indoors, making her a very adaptable companion for families or individuals who want a calm, loving dog.
Peggy does very well with dogs, however she really loves to wonder around on her own! She can be unsure at times, so she will do best with a calm, confident, aloof dog who wont challenge her. She would also have absolutely no problem being the only dog in the home. More attention for the princess! She enjoys sharing the company of the right doggy friends. Cats are not a match for Peggy, so a cat-free home is necessary!
Peggy is gentle, loving, and safe around children. She would fit perfectly into a family who wants a sweet little companion to snuggle, go on leisurely walks with, and share quiet moments at home. Shes the kind of dog who enjoys routine and thrives when she feels secure, loved, and included. Her forever family will need patience for her learning and gentle guidance as she continues to settle into a permanent home, but in return, Peggy offers unconditional love, endless tail wags, and plenty of smiles!
Imagine coming home to Peggys bright smile greeting you at the door, her little paws ready to follow you from room to room, and her warm, loving presence beside you as you go about your day. Shes a dog who will fill your home with joy, affection, and the kind of love only a tiny, happy-hearted dog like Peggy can give. With a family who cherishes her for her sweet nature, her small size, and her big personality, Peggy Hill will be a lifelong friend and companion who makes every day brighter.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gapranging from $100$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
