Meet Peggy
Hi, my name is Peggy! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Friendly, affectionate, independent, a little rough around the edges :)
-Can Live with Kids: Kids ages 16+ (due to my rough play/mouthy behavior)
-Can Live with Cats: No thanks, I would likely be overwhelming to cats
-Can Live with Dogs: No thanks, I'd prefer being the only dog in the home. This may change pending further testing.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, I'm too much dog for an apartment
-Potty Trained: It appears so
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a spay and MC
-Additional Information: Peggy is an affectionate pup who loves attention from her people. She came to us as a stray, so we unfortunately have no information regarding her history. It seems she likely had a bit of a rough life based on her physical condition when she came in - she was dirty, scabby, and it appears she's had at least one litter of puppies. We're hopeful that Peggy's perfect match will come in and give her the life she deserves!
Miss Peggy is in need of some consistency - she would benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training, a routine, and a person/family who can return the love she gives. Peggy can be a bit mouthy when she gets excited and is still working on her leash manners. She would likely get overwhelmed in busy settings (ie. breweries, restaurants, busy hiking trails) and is best suited for a low-key home that doesn't have too much going on. If you'd like to meet Peggy, the first step is filling out an adoption application. Our staff will then review applications to ensure it's a good match before setting up an introduction.
