Peggy is a spitfire, inquisitive, adventurous pinup of a girl that loves to explore, catch frogs, and eat. Peggy walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. She prefers to ride shotgun, in a car, and in the ride of life. She does well at the vet’s office and is fearless and independent in every situation. Peggy has all of the stubborn and intelligent traits of a dachshund. She is very smart and knows how to sit and wait on command. Training her to do more commands would do well both for her mental aspect and to bond with her.
Peggy has spent time with cats and shown no interest in them in the past. She enjoys romping and adventuring outside, at her own pace and in her own time. She is the kind of girl that would love nothing more than to take an African safari if given the opportunity in order to hunt new adventure. Peggy’s ideal home would include a family that understood the personality traits of a dachshund and could allow her the independence of a teenage human and opportunities to explore that she so greatly craves. Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions.
