Meet Peggy

Hopping into everyone’s heart here at Louie’s, we have Peggy. This gorgeous 9-year-old pit mix is a tripod and has been through a lot in her life. Yet she is still so full of love and just wants to find someone to give hers to receive love back!

Peggy is housebroken. Even though she is one leg down she is still an active gal who loves to play. She is looking to be your special partner in crime and would likely do best as your one and only pet in the house. Peggy would do best in a residential location, where she can be queen of the yard as well as your heart. She has been around children as young as 8years old and has been gentle with them. Whenever she's not playing, she loves to snuggle and share her gorgeous smile with those around her. Peggy does have separation anxiety, and it’s managed by a prescription she takes. She thrives on human companionship but will also need someone who is patient and willing to work on crate-training in order to make her feel safe in the times when is left alone. This adorable gal deserves a warm and devoted home where she can blossom and be her joyful self. Nothing would make Peggy happier than daily play, exercise and lots and lots of attention from her human companions.

If you love getting doggy kisses, giving belly-rubs, playing dress-up and having a three-legged shadow, Peggy could be the dog for you!

To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
