Meet Pecas (POOCH)

****TO FOSTER/ADOPT PECAS- of-a-kind companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart? Meet Pecas—affectionately known as Pooch! This sweet girl is searching for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly shine.

Pecas surrendered to the kill shelter because there was a house fire & lost her home, family, and furry siblings.

The Good Stuff:

Indoors, Pooch is a low-energy cuddlebug who loves nothing more than being close to her person. She’s fully house-trained and enjoys snuggling on the couch, playing gentle games of fetch, and snoozing at your side. She gives the best kisses and takes treats politely. Pooch is the perfect companion for quiet nights in, and while she’ll “announce” visitors with a bark, she’s all bark and no bite—she just likes her space respected.

What Pooch Needs:

Like many dogs with a rough past, Pooch has some worries about the big world. She’s looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands her:
• Dog Reactivity w/Unfamiliar dogs: Pooch has lived with other dogs & is friendly with familiar dogs. On walks, she can get overexcited around other dogs, so she’ll thrive with a confident handler who can help her stay focused.
• Stranger Shyness: Pooch takes time to trust new people and isn’t comfortable with strangers trying to pet her on walks. She has never bitten, but she communicates clearly when she needs space. Because of this, she’s best suited for a home with adults or teens (13+).

Pooch is already making amazing progress in her foster home—her confidence grows every day, and her goofy, affectionate side shines brighter the more she trusts. She wears her heart on her sleeve (and tail!), and once you’re “her person,” she’ll be your most loyal, loving companion.

Pooch is searching for her hero—the person who will help her see that the world isn’t so scary after all. If you’re an experienced dog lover looking for a devoted best friend, Pooch just might be your perfect match. ?

Note: Pecas is 47lbs, mixed breed female, neutered, up to date on shots & fully healthy
