Pecan is a young playful mix breed pup. She is in her teen years and still growing. My guess is around 50ish pounds. Pecan is active and enjoys leash walks and playing with dogs. She is very food motivated and does well with training.

She can be tentative of new people initially but warms up with a little time. We would recommend an adult only home that’s not a revolving door. Pecan had a handful of dog friends and loves to play. Due to her shyness with new people it would be excellent if her canine companion was confident and outgoing with new people. She has a few times shown a tendency to guard high value items from another dog, never with people. It would be recommended she be fed separately until settles into the home and builds a bond with her canine companion. That being said she would also be happy as an only dog.

Pecan Patch is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. She will be adopted with a spay contract due to her size and age. Pecan's adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Charlotte Blake.
